Bryan K Teams Up with Hillview Christian College for a Powerful Rendition of “Vane Hanya (Jesu Wedu)”

Zimbabwean music producer and recording artist Bryan K has released a moving new version of the beloved gospel song “Vane Hanya (Jesu Wedu)”, featuring the voices of students from Hillview Christian College.

A song deeply rooted in nostalgia, “Vane Hanya (Jesu Wedu)” has long held a special place in the hearts of many who grew up singing it. Known for its message of faith, comfort, and reassurance, the song is reimagined through a blend of Bryan K’s lead vocals and the powerful harmonies of the students.

The accompanying music video, filmed on the Hillview Christian College campus in Domboshava, captures authentic moments of student life, unity, and joy. Additional scenes shot on the nearby mountain add a striking visual element, symbolising elevation, perspective, and the uplifting message carried in the song.

Speaking on the project, Bryan K shared:

“This is a song many of us grew up singing, so it carries a lot of meaning. Bringing it into this space, with young voices, felt like giving it new life — like passing something timeless from one generation to the next.

I’ve always believed that students should be encouraged to express themselves creatively. We’re living in a time where all skill sets matter, but creativity is becoming one of the most important. It builds confidence, it shapes identity, and it allows young people to find their voice.

This project is just the beginning. It’s the first of many I hope to build with students — creating spaces where they can be seen, heard, and inspired.”

The release marks a meaningful collaboration that blends music, storytelling, and student participation — creating a moment that will resonate far beyond the classroom.
